"ABAD" beneficiary: Khayala Rahmanova | Region: Baku | Fine needlework/ Embroidery

Khayala Rahmanova has commited herself to decorative-applied folk art for 15 years.
“Firstly, I imagine the handicraft that I will produce and then I commit it to paper. In the next stage, I began to weave them into the fabric. “ – the artisan notes.
Although she has studied in a different field, she has always chased her dreams and tried to find herself in the field of crafts and art.
“I have been prone to drawing since my childhood. Therefore I wanted to apply The Academy of Fine Arts then I somehow gave up the idea. However, life itself led me to advance myself and end up as an artisan.”
Right after being informed about ABAD, she applied for cooperation.
Until now, I had been making handicrafts and selling them based on the orders and attending various exhibitions and fairs.
Having been informed about ABAD’s support to artisan families, I decided to apply. The income is not the primary thing that I am interested in. I want to work on and advance myself. I think ABAD opens up great perspectives for me on this.
Ms.Rahmanova emphasizes: I prefer to work on traditional style since I joined ABAD.
Her handicrafts are now available in all the ABAD Handicrafts and Shop Centers.
