"My mother and father are artists. Meanwhile, mosaics of my father Aliashraf Mammadov adorn various places in Baku today. Growing up in a family of art enthusiasts certainly had a great influence on my future life. "

Gunel taught intricacies of this art by famous artist Togrul Narimanbekov and her handicrafts have been exhibited in the country and abroad.

Gunel says she applied to ABAD to receive the support to have her sales of small paintings and various decorative items arranged:

 "I would like my handicrafts to be recognized from all across the world. The foreign visitors like my souvenirs. I believe that through the support of ABAD, my handicrafts will spread all over the world."
