Supported by the ABAD public legal entity, artisan Bakhtiyar Alakbarov engages in painting, infusing his creations with a unique blend of traditional and modern elements. He shares:

“I am primarily a poet and write song lyrics. To make productive use of my free time, I enjoy crafting souvenirs, even from simple materials like stones.”

Alakbarov’s handmade works stand out for their distinctive design and originality. He explains:

“To incorporate traditional ornaments into my souvenirs, I utilize technological programs. I approached ABAD to create a synthesis of contemporary technology and the decorative-applied folk artistry of Azerbaijan.”
