Kablami Aliyev is one of the prominent coppersmiths based in Lahij, a settlement of İsmayilli district. Known as the settlement of coppersmiths, Lahij has been inscribed on the UNESCO Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage. “Lahij copper craft” was also included in UNESCO's Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage at the 10th Session of the Intergovernmental Committee for Safeguarding Intangible Cultural Heritage held in Namibia from November 30 to December 4, 2015.
Besides, the descendants of the skilled masters of the past were able not only to maintain the workshop equipment, but also to preserve the secrets of melting and forging, metal processing and engraving.
