"ABAD" beneficiary: Inga Zemtsova | Region: Baku | Fusing

Our ABAD beneficiary Inga Zemtsova is a master of vitrage art and glass fusing.
Glass fusing is a way to bring eclectic pieces of glass together to create a beautiful contrast. It's a simple but effective way to play with bold colors, shapes, and textures. Fused glass is glass that has been fired (heat-processed) in a kiln. Fused glass techniques are generally used to create Art glass, glass tiles, jewellery, and beads. Although she educated in the field of law, she does not imagine herself without decorative-applied art:
"I draw, paint, sew, make a macrame, decorate wood by pyrography. Five years ago, I became acquainted with the vitrage art, and this changed me completely. I started painting on the glass. Then I ended up at the workshop for baking colored glass. From that moment I was struggling with the questions like where can I get such equipment and install it. "
After getting the equipment, Inga Khanum began to create fascinating handicrafts by fusing technology: various crockery, timepieces, even ceilings and doors for the interior, frames for mirrors, etc.
“As its beneficiary, I prepare souvenirs in national style by fusing for ABAD. I would like to start to give training on this art in the nearest future.”
Please note that the enchanting handicrafts of our ABAD artisan can be purchased only at ABAD ethno-boutiques.
