"ABAD" beneficiary: Narmin Abbasova | Region: Baku | Accessories

Narmin Abbasova is one of the artists supported by “ABAD”. As a financier, this young lady is a master at preparing various jewellery, decorative items and accessories from natural stones.
Narmin Khanum, who has always been interested in decorative-applied folk art, says:
"In my childhood, beads and natural stones were my favourite toys. At that time, I would prepare bracelets, hair accessories for my sister and I. I used to spend a lot of time lining up the beads."
According to Narmin Khanum, her mother made her away from this hobby for years in order to make her way up education:
"As soon as I started to decorate boxes and tables personally for my engagement party, a bright light shone inside me which made me return to my hobby and my drawers filled with beads and stones again."
Thus, Narmin returned to her beloved hobby and this time she approached this field not only as a hobby but more professionally. She attended training courses, discovered new techniques, and created many contacts at handicraft fairs:
"My second biggest step in my work was learning the method of making decorative items by epoxy resin. I think it is impossible to be indifferent about this technique. The peculiarity here is that you cannot imagine but only see the final product at the end. The identical product is never purchased. All are exclusive. It makes them a unique gift. I pour the epoxy on roses and their petals."
N.Abbasova’s visit to “ABAD” coincides with his desire to present his handiwork to a larger audience. The products of her, especially decorative items are already recognized, loved and appreciated:
"I also take steps to learn new ideas and techniques. I do not even have an idea to stop", she says.
Narmin Abbasova's unique decorative items can be obtained at "ABAD" ethno-boutiques.
