"ABAD" beneficiary: Eldaniz Ahmayev | Region: Balakan | Wood carving
Eldaniz Ahmayev, a resident of Hanifa village in Balakan district, learned the art of wood carving, his primary profession, from his father and grandfather. Raised in a family of artisans, Eldaniz successfully continues this longstanding family tradition. After mastering the craft’s techniques, he and his brother established their own workshop, producing a variety of wooden souvenirs and animal figurines.
However, challenges in organizing sales limited his ability to increase income, prompting him to join ABAD for support in promoting his craft and boosting earnings. Currently, ABAD assists Eldaniz in marketing his products and expanding his entrepreneurial activities.
Passionate about creating new works and finding joy in his craft, Eldaniz shares:
“My brother and I continue our father’s craft today, producing not only household and decorative items but also assisting master craftsmen in Balakan who create renowned musical instruments by crafting various components. With ABAD’s support, we aim to further expand our family business.”
