"ABAD" beneficiary: Huseynagha Najafov | Region: Masally | Vegetable products

Residing in the Sarchuvar village of the Masally region, Huseynagha Najafov has been engaged in agriculture and particularly the production of canned food for many years now and he recalls how he made it up with ABAD:
“3 years ago, I was attending one of the events taking
place in Masally by ABAD. I was informed
about ABAD in detail and got an opportunity to sound my ideas,” he says.
Since then, he has been an ABAD member for 2 years. The
yield of his family business, tomato pickle is offered for sale at ABAD
in-store shops within famous market chains of the country. Bulgarian and cherry
tomatoes are the main varieties used for pickling at his production site.
“At the beginning, the yield of my crop acreage was enough
for us. However, as the number of orders exceeded by time, I addressed other
farmers. I select the seeds for them,” he remarks.
Each member of the Najafovs’ family has their particular role in the production process. He, his wife and sister are mostly involved in the processing of raw material: “Tomatoes must be processed as soon as they come from the field, otherwise chemical reactions can occur in the product and it may lose its taste, properties and quality. That's why my children and even my neighbours come and help us when we get the abundant harvest. ”
According to ABAD member, his canned tomatoes are all-natural:
"First of all, the soil structure and climate of
Masally give a special taste and quality to the vegetables grown here,
moreover, we do not use chemical
additives to preserve our products. Only natural grape vinegar is used which is
also made of the fruits of the Masally district.
