"ABAD" beneficiary: Maya Sabzaliyeva | Region: Baku | Natural oil

Residing in Baku, Ms Maya Sabzaliyeva is one of the beneficiaries of ABAD engaged in food production.

She graduated from the prophylactic treatment faculty of the Azerbaijan Medical University (AMU). Perhaps, it was the medical education that encouraged her to prioritize a healthy lifestyle. Thus, Maya dived into the science-based knowledge of healthy eating.

According to her, she has always been thinking about setting up her own business: “Numerous startups have come to my mind because of my interest in medicine and my desire to build my own business which will be useful to people. As a result, I decided to produce cold-pressed vegetable oils with no additives. At first, I had a hardship figuring out how and from where to start my business… ”

Meanwhile, Maya stumbles upon on a news about the initiative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr Ilham Aliyev, on the establishment of the ABAD centres and immediately decides to apply:

Thanks to the assistance provided by ABAD, I easily registered in the Food Safety Agency and started the production process. With the support of ABAD, my products are currently available in Bravo hypermarkets, the largest chain in our city and ABAD centres. ”

Maya Sabzaliyeva produces cold-pressed vegetable oils in her small facility under the supervision of ABAD technicians to make sure that the products meet all the standards. You can get all-natural black cumin, pumpkin seed, almond and coconut oil from the ABAD centres and its in-store shops. In the near future, she plans to multiply the assortment of oil products as well as to offer other new products to the market.
