The Hasanov family is one of the semi-finished frozen food producers operating under ABAD brand. They prepare different kind of dumplings, such as dushbara, khinkali, pelmeni and vareniki in their family-owned small enterprise. Elchin Hasanov, the head of the family, says he has been doing this job for three years now:

“My wife Khalida Hasanova and I, have been in the banking sector for more than 15 years, and in recent years, even in executive positions. Whenever we got home from work late at night, it was a hassle to ponder about fast dinner ideas. That is how the idea of semi-finished meals came from. In other words, we have come to this decision for our own needs in the first place. It goes without saying that at first we were preparing food just for our extended family, but then it turned out to be a start-up idea for us. Namely, we quit our jobs and started to work as a micro manufacturer.”

According to the head of the family, their make-ahead meals are time-saving especially for those who spend most of their time at work. Thus, instead of kneading the dough, rinse and grind meat, people get instant and deliciously satisfying dishes for busy days or late nights when they just don't want to cook. As a result, they can maximize the time they spend with loved ones. 

We can say without a shadow of a doubt that there is not any product on the market that can compete with ours in terms of quality and high safety standards. We read news about food subjected to fraud in the market almost on a daily basis. To give an example, milk can be made from starch, sausage from the carcasses of sick animals, etc. We have been producing food for the past three years in exact accordance with the ingredients listed on the label. If veal is shown on the label, it means only veal were used in the product.

If the product contains potatoes, this is only local potatoes which are also allowed to children to eat with its nitrate levels checked. Speaking about dairy, we select products of local manufacturers that have a strong reputation in the market for their fine quality.

Recalling his first acquaintance with ABAD, Hasanov said that this meeting took place at “World Food 2019” Azerbaijan International Food Industry Exhibition, in Baku Expo Center in May 2019:

 “We got acquainted with the lavish stall of ABAD. We were informed about the activities of the organization on-the-spot. As had been evidenced, our enterprise was in a profile fully compatible with the mission of ABAD. Consequently, that meeting was the start of our successful cooperation.”

The family plans to expand the product line and range within the near future: "We plan to please our customers with a few new and exclusive products in times to come."
