Azerbaijani
cuisine is one of the world’s most popular and loved. In order to make the
scrumptious dishes of our kitchen accessible to all, it is necessary to adapt
to the requirements of the time and present them in a modern and comfortable
way.
One
of the pearls of our national cuisine is Lavangi which is a fish, chicken or
eggplants stuffed with walnuts, onions and various condiments and baked in the
oven. The word “lavangi” literally means "stuffed" in the Talysh
language. ABAD member Elshan Aliyev is engaged in the production of
"lavangi" stuffing that is a mix of walnuts, onions and turshu-
deliciously sticky, sweet, salty and sour pickled fruit mash under the brand
name of "Hazira Nazir":
“I
was born in 1986 in Lerik district. . I have a degree in Economics and
Management. After more than 10 years of experience as a sales manager in
various companies, I founded “Hazira Nazir” brand, of which I am now the
director. As our name suggests, our intention is to make the cooking process
easier for consumers. If we paraphrase the idea from the famous Azerbaijani
film "Arshin mal alan", all you need are a jar of "Hazira
Nazir" lavangi, a chicken and 5 manats. Trouble-free!”
According
to Elshan Aliyev, “Hazira Nazir” has been operating for a year now. First of
all, they started delivering food to customers based on online orders through
social media. Growing number orders have carved a way for the product to enter
the markets:
"While
studying and doing our research, we learned about ABAD. It turned out that ABAD
supports local entrepreneurs by creating favourable conditions for them. Taking
into account that we can reach a wider audience with the impetus of cooperation
with ABAD to achieve our goal, we addressed to this organization. After a
series of meetings, we concluded that this cooperation would be beneficial for
both sides and formalized relations.
The
main goal of “Hazira Nazir” is to make "lavangi" stuffing accessible
and affordable, as it is especially difficult and time-consuming to prepare.
Although the process of making the stuffing is well known, it is difficult to
get the authentic taste of the the real lavangi. With this in mind, we made it
easy for the ladies to get a delicious, ready-made lavangi without any hassle.
We produce a completely sterile, hygienic and all-natural product using only
local products and following food safety rules. ”
