Ruhiyya Rahimova, a Baku resident supported by ABAD, has been passionate about painting since childhood, a passion that significantly shaped her career path. A graduate of the Azerbaijan Painting Academy with a degree in fine arts painting, Ruhiyya brings to life the scenic beauty of Baku and other notable landmarks of Azerbaijan in her handcrafted works.

Her artistry skillfully showcases Azerbaijan’s cultural treasures, national architecture, and breathtaking landscapes, depicted on various objects. She particularly favors crafting small decorative boxes for storing jewelry, made from animal bones and adorned with intricate patterns.

Ruhiyya explains her motivation: “My goal is to introduce Azerbaijan’s culture and architectural gems to foreign tourists through my craft.”

Previously, she sold her works using limited personal resources. To expand her business, Ruhiyya turned to ABAD, which has supported her by aiding in the branding of her family business and organizing the sale of her creations at ABAD craftsmanship centers.
