One of the families supported by ABAD (Support to Family Business) in the field of food production is the Aliyev family from the Masalli district. Family representative Samir Aliyev has established a small-scale enterprise specializing in the production of traditional jams, a business he has been developing over the past several years.

Samir Aliyev began his activity by preparing walnut jam, and over time, he has become a skilled specialist in the craft. He has significantly expanded the assortment of jam varieties produced under his brand.

While a portion of the family's products was initially intended for personal use, the remainder was sold in local markets during the early stages of production. The increasing demand and positive reception of the products encouraged Samir Aliyev to expand his business further.

In order to transition from artisanal production to a modern, standards-compliant enterprise, and to access services such as certification, branding, packaging design, and sales organization, Mr. Aliyev approached the Masalli Regional ABAD Center.

At the first stage, ABAD provided him with the necessary equipment to enable the production of high-quality jams in accordance with food safety and production standards.

Subsequently, with the support of ABAD, a unique brand—Bal Kimi ("Sweet as Honey")—was created. The products were certified through ABAD's single-window system, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.

ABAD also facilitated the logistics and distribution of the products to sales points across the country.

Today, the Bal Kimi brand, represented by the Aliyev family, continues to grow, with an expanding selection of jam varieties entering the market.

To differentiate his products, Samir Aliyev draws inspiration from Azerbaijan’s rich culinary heritage, prioritizing the use of rare and traditional recipes in his production process.

According to Mr. Aliyev, his primary goal is to introduce the Bal Kimi brand to international markets, and he remains confident in the continued support of ABAD to help him achieve this objective.
