Gulnara Mahmud, a Baku resident and artisan supported by the ABAD public legal entity, is a professional painter whose artistic talent was nurtured by her parents’ own aptitude for painting. From a young age, she showed a deep passion for the arts and pursued formal education in painting to hone her skills.

Dedicated to preserving the national style and vibrant essence of Azerbaijani culture, Gulnara creates tapestries, carpet sketches, and intricate paintings on various wooden figures. Like many artisans who draw inspiration from specific themes, Gulnara primarily employs mixed techniques in her work, with a particular focus on depicting the ancient rock art of Gobustan in her creations.
