"ABAD" beneficiary: Aytan Dadashova | Region: Baku | Painting (vitrage, leather, silk)

Aytan Dadashova, a
resident of Baku, is one of the artisans supported by the “ABAD” project. From
a young age, Aytan has been inclined toward creativity and pursued higher
education in painting.
For over five years,
she has been working in her field of expertise. As an artisan, Aytan creates
oil paintings on canvas and produces painted glass products.
One of the
distinctive features of her work is the prominent use of traditional
Azerbaijani carpet patterns.
Aytan incorporates
elements characteristic of the Shirvan, Karabakh, Guba, and Ganja-Gazakh
carpet-weaving schools into her handcrafted national souvenirs.
The artisan notes
that she previously created products solely based on commissions, but her
primary goal now is to establish her own family brand.
Having joined
“ABAD,” Aytan expresses that her current objectives include engaging new
individuals in her craft, teaching them, and building a family business rooted
in this art form to further its development.
