"ABAD" beneficiary: Hamida Guliyeva | Region: Baku | Decorative-applied art
Hamida Guliyeva, born in 1995, is a resident of Baku. By profession, she is a preschool educator.
“From childhood, I have had a great interest in painting and, in general, fine arts. Despite my hearing impairment, I have always pursued my desires. My parents have always supported me. Since 2015, I have been attending the painting classes of Ayten Hasanova, the director of ‘Ateshgah Art Center,’ and have learned the secrets of painting. For over five years now, I have been creating various paintings with oil paints and engaging in the directions of glass and ceramic painting within decorative-applied folk artistry.”
According to Ms. Guliyeva, initially, her independent handmade works were displayed at the sales corner of “Ateshgah Art Center.”
“After learning about ‘ABAD,’ I joined the ‘ABAD’ family. Since 2019, I have been active as an ‘ABAD’ artisan. One of my future plans is to further enhance my creative capabilities and promote our national culture and cultural heritage worldwide.”
