"ABAD" beneficiary: Fargana Mustafayeva | Region: Baku | Decorative-applied art

Fargana
Mustafayeva, a resident of Baku, is among the artisans who have applied to ABAD
(Simplified Support to Family Businesses) to enhance the development of her
family enterprise. With over a decade of experience in crafting traditional
souvenirs, Ms. Mustafayeva has established herself as a committed and skilled
artisan in the field of applied arts.
Following
her graduation from secondary school, she pursued a degree in education;
however, her deep interest in visual arts and craftsmanship led her to explore
creative disciplines beyond her formal academic background.
Encouraged
and supported both morally and technically by her husband, she initiated the
production of various national-style souvenirs as a means to contribute to the
family economy and to bring her handmade creations to a wider audience.
Today,
Ms. Mustafayeva specializes in producing a diverse range of culturally inspired
items, including miniature decorative hats, traditional hair accessories, and
handcrafted boxes intricately adorned with Azerbaijani motifs.
Her
decision to join the ABAD network stems from her aspiration to move beyond a
purely custom-order model of sales and to overcome various operational
challenges she has encountered during the production process.
