
ABAD ceramics and applied art centre was launched a year ago, on October 29. It has already been over than a year that the centre opened up an opportunity of gathering the local and foreigner ceramists under one roof.
For this occasion, an event was organized by the initiative of Sheki City Executive Authority.
The head of the Sheki City Executive Authority, Elxan Usunov and the curator of the centre Mir Teymur Mammadov delivered a speech in the course of the event.
Mir Teymur Mammadov was given a certificate of appreciation by the Executive Power of the Sheki city.
The inauguration of the centre took place on October 29, 2018, within the framework of Sheki visit of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev and the First Lady Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva.
The building of the centre was constructed in the end of the XIX century and used to be a barrack. The old and damaged building restored by PASHA Holding.
The centre is furnished by cutting-edge equipment and it is operating by the supervision of Mir Teymur Mammadov. At present, there are 12 master working here and volunteering activities are being implemented.The centre also aimed at hosting the large-scale international events.
It should be recalled that the international symposium named "From nature to history" was held in this centre between May 20 - June 2. Representing 14 countries, 22 participants attended in the symposium.
