Italian media has been publishing articles about a young Italian food technician’s impression about Azerbaijan, the hospitality of the local population, and his experience with the ABAD. Speaking of this, he had been invited to ABAD as an expert.
Technologist Angelo Manna owns Agrirape farm in Sicily and works as an expert in jam and marmalade production. Should note that he trained ABAD producers at Guba ABAD Factory within the framework of the Enterprise Development Program (the “EDP Project”) which is sponsored by BP and its co-ventures, and implemented by Ekvita – a service company, providing training, coaching and capability development services. The training program lasted for 40 days.
In the aforementioned articles, expert Angelo shares about his exceptional experience:
“From the moment I won the election, I got information about Azerbaijan and examined the level of security. I was very pleased with the high marks of safety given to this place. I visited Masally and Balakan raions of Azerbaijan. Nd cooperated with ABAD beneficiaries. I was not only a trainer but a very keen explorer. I was introduced to a traditional companion of tea, local preserves called “murabba”. Unlike jam, murabba contains whole berries in thick syrup. For me, the eggplant jam was the most awe-inspiring. At present, we are planning to prepare these products in Italy as well...”
Manna, who shares his impressions, adds: “I am amazed at the enthusiasm of the young people, their desire to acquire new knowledge, and their hospitality. I will always remember them in a good way. I have made a lot of friends here for what I take pride.”
