
AQTA and ABAD public legal entity launches a
new joint project in the liberated territories.
The
main goal of the project is to form favourable conditions for the population
engaged in the livestock farming, ensure the compatibility of modern slaughter
techniques and provide healthier meat and meat products for consumption.
The new butcheries to be built will control and
prevent the spread of zoonotic diseases, protect people from the
animal-to-human transmission. A foundation for the organization of veterinary mechanisms
to control animal health in the liberated areas will be laid as soon as
possible.
New slaughterhouses will be established at the
expense of the Azerbaijan Food Safety Institute (AQTA). Taking into account its
experience of working with micro and small businesses, ABAD public legal entity
will participate in the selection of project participants, assess their
potential and business management skills, provide professional training for
butchers within the framework of ABAD’s support program.
Initially, relevant organizational work has
been carried out in Guzanly settlement of Aghdam district to establish an
abattoir meeting modern standards and the area where the slaughterhouse will be
built was determined. Laboratories will be set up at the new abattoirs by AQTA,
and veterinary and sanitary control will be provided for meat and meat products
that will be put into circulation.
