First and the most spacious ethno-boutique of ABAD in Icherisheher, Old Town welcomes its visitors with its renovated interior. After the restoration work, the main entrance of the store is opened again, the interior became roomy and bright. During the restoration, the original appearance of the walls of the ancient bath was accentuated, and it is expected that it will be of interest to visitors. As a result, the guests will not only be able to purchase unique gifts but also get acquainted with the historical monument. VIP gifts, home decorations and a special photo zone section, as well as an ancient market demonstration, are available in the boutique.

It should be noted that ABAD’s Icheri Sheher boutique is located in the Haji Bani bath which is considered to be a monument of national importance. The medieval bath had remained underground for centuries and was discovered in 1964 during archaeological excavations in the area.

The bathhouse was built in the late 15th century. Haji Gayib was the person who placed the order for the construction of the building and the architect was Haji Bani. Therefore, the bath is known either as Haji Gayib or Haji Bani.

After being in a void for many years, the building of the bathhouse was renovated with the joint support of SOCAR and TIKA, and put into function on March 18, 2017, as an ABAD ethno-boutique.

The boutique sells handicrafts of 378 ABAD members. Their handicrafts are all artisanal and intrinsic to Azerbaijani culture. The pulse of modernity can be felt in the store and handicrafts are trendy. So, here you can also get porcelain and faience table sets produced in “ABAD” ceramic centres, handicrafts of “ABAD” Masally carpet-weaving school and “ABAD” Guba jewellery school.
