The
second phase of the joint project of
ABAD and AFSA, “An abattoir
meeting modern standards in Guzanly settlement of Aghdam district” just kicked
off.
The
second stage is the selection of ABAD members. Thus, anyone who is a resident
of the Karabakh Economic Region (particularly the Guzanli settlement of the
Aghdam region) and wants to be more professionally engaged in animal
slaughtering can apply through the “ABADchi” function created on the official
website of ABAD. It should be noted that applications for this project will be
accepted until August 31, 2021.
At the
next stage, the selection of participants will be organized and their potential
and business management skills will be assessed, new ABAD members will be
identified and they will be provided with services included in the ABAD’s
support program. It should be noted that the new butchery, which will operate
in the Guzanly settlement of Aghdam, will create new opportunities for local
entrepreneurs to set up new services that meet modern requirements.
The
main goal of the project is to form favourable conditions for the population
engaged in livestock farming, ensure the compatibility of modern slaughter
techniques and provide healthier meat and meat products for consumption. The
new butcheries to be built will control and prevent the spread of zoonotic
diseases, protect people from the animal-to-human transmission. A foundation
for the organization of veterinary mechanisms to control animal health in the
liberated areas will be laid as soon as possible.
