Support for families engaged in decorative-applied folk craft is one of the priority activities of “ABAD” public legal entity.

Within the framework of support to families engaged in craftsmanship fields, the exhibition-sale for numerous handiwork of more than 120 families was organized by “ABAD” in “Icherisheher” (Old Town) and Heydar Aliyev International Airport.

The production of souvenir-carpets is one of the principal directions in the field of decorative-applied folk arts supported by ABAD.

Today, foreign visitors of our country are keenly interested in buying small souvenir carpets.

Taking into account the actual demand for national products, ABAD launches a training program for families wishing to work in souvenir carpet weaving.

Within the framework of the training, future artisans will be trained in the production of souvenir carpets, like, the most elaborate weaving techniques, as well as the history of carpet weaving.

“ABAD” will carry out the organization of the sales of products of craftsmen who successfully completed the program.
