    ABAD organizes a blood donation campaign to support people suffering from haemophilia and thalassemia

    ABAD public legal entity held a blood donation campaign in connection with International Thalassaemia Day (ITD) which is marked annually on 8 May. The campaign was devoted to raising awareness amongst the general public and decision-makers about thalassemia, and helping the global thalassemia community to connect and call for changes towards the improvement of patients’ lives and well-being.

     

    The team of ABAD, consisting of management and staff members joined the blood donation campaign after checking the health status of the donors. Blood samples will be attested in a special laboratory and collected in the Central Blood Bank for use in the treatment of hereditary blood patients.

     

    The main goal of the action, which was implemented as a part of the State Program "Care for children suffering from haemophilia and thalassemia", is to support people who are registered at the Republican Thalassemia Center and need blood transfusions every month
