Initiated by Leyla Aliyeva, the vice president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the founder and head of IDEA Public Union, implemented by the joint organization of "ABAD" public legal entity, the Youth Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the State Employment Agency, “The Young Beekeeper” project keeps on in Gabala raion.

 

For the initial stage, the selections for the "Young Beekeeper" project have been completed.

More than 50 applications were received from Gabala and its surrounding regions to participate in the project. 39 of them were considered suitable for participation and invited to the selection stage. In the selection round, 20 young people qualified to participate in the project and were involved in training.

 

Young beekeepers will acquire theoretical and practical knowledge during a one-month training period consisting of three stages held in Gabala district starting from May 22, 2024, after completing the training period, they will be provided with the bee family and hives, beekeeper clothing, and all the necessary beekeeping equipment. In the next stage, bee families will be distributed to participants to carry out the production process effectively.

The joint project of the IDEA Public Union, “ABAD" public legal entity, the Youth Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and the State Employment Agency is aimed at increasing the areal of bees in our country as the protectors of biodiversity, promoting the spread of beekeeping as a type of eco-entrepreneurship in the regions of Azerbaijan, and supporting the production of natural honey. contributing to the improvement of the financial well-being of young families and ensuring the employment of young people.
