Within
the course of the meeting, Leyla Aliyeva had sincere conversations with young
beekeepers, showed her interest in their activities, and got informed about
their first experiences in the field of beekeeping and their impressions of
productivity. In turn, the young beekeepers expressed their gratitude to Leyla
Aliyeva for her attention and support. They presented the first honey yield of
the project that they filtered in special packaging to Leyla Aliyeva.
It
should be noted that starting from 2021, 20 young beekeepers have been
supported in Gabala district within the framework of the next stage of the
"Young Beekeeper" project, which is implemented in partnership with
the "ABAD" public legal entity, the Youth Fund of
the Republic of Azerbaijan, and the State Employment Agency. Supported
beekeepers have already started to get their first harvest.
Special
trainings were given to 20 young people selected within the project by ABAD’s
professional honey producer Yusif Guliyev. The purpose of this project is to
contribute to the protection of biodiversity, promote the spread of beekeeping
as a type of eco-entrepreneurship, support natural honey production and improve
the financial well-being of young families. The young people who completed the
training were provided with the necessary beekeeping equipment including bee
family and hives, beekeeper's clothing, honey straining facility and other
supplies.
Young
beekeepers will also be provided with product certification, branding, design
and marketing support. This support will help young beekeepers get access to a
wider customer market and organize their sales efficiently to reach the stage
of competitive honey production in the market economy.
