On September 5, 2025, a cultural event titled “Land of Craftsmanship” was held at the Sheki “ABAD” Ceramics and Applied Arts Center as part of the “Year of Constitution and Sovereignty.” The event was organized by the Sheki City Executive Authority and the “ABAD” public legal entity, with the partnership of the Azerbaijan State Tourism Agency.
The main objective of the event was to preserve and promote ancient craftsmanship traditions, foster their development in the modern era, bring together creative individuals, and advocate for cultural values.
As part of the event in Sheki, a member of UNESCO’s “Creative Cities” network, an exhibition was organized featuring works by “ABAD” artisans created on the theme of “Year of Constitution and Sovereignty.” Live demonstrations of various art forms were presented to the public. Visitors had the opportunity to closely explore Sheki’s rich historical and cultural heritage, as well as the creative works of artisans from different regions of the country.
At the conclusion of the event, partner organizations and participating artisans were awarded certificates for their contributions to the preservation and promotion of ancient artistic traditions.
