“ABAD” (Easy Support to Family Business), a public legal entity under the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, has marked the 9th anniversary of its establishment.
At the commemorative event, the Chairman of
the State Agency, Mr. Ulvi Mehdiyev, extended his congratulations to the staff
of the institution and wished them further success in their future endeavors.
Delivering a report on the nine years of “ABAD’s” operations, Director Mr. Rufat Elchiyev highlighted that the organization had expanded its activities in the past year. Notably, presentations were held in the territories liberated from occupation, honey products collected from these regions were branded and placed on the market, exports to the United States were initiated, and online sales were launched via the “Wolt Market” platform. Moreover, “ABAD” products became available in five new sales outlets, and a range of new product lines was introduced.
Since its inception as a pilot project in Masalli with the participation of seven families, “ABAD” has supported 677 families in developing their businesses over the past nine years. Among them, 508 are artisans preserving and promoting Azerbaijan’s decorative and applied folk art, while 144 are producers of natural, high-quality food products. In addition, 25 entrepreneurs are engaged in various other business fields.
During the event, employees who
distinguished themselves through outstanding service were presented with
Letters of Appreciation.
Established by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, H.E. Mr. Ilham Aliyev, on September 23, 2016, “ABAD” has since played an important role in fostering the growth of micro, small, and medium-sized family-based enterprises, supporting regional entrepreneurship, and enhancing employment opportunities across the country.
