As part of a visit to the Quba district, Amy Carlon, Chargé d’Affaires ad interim of the Embassy of the United States of America to the Republic of Azerbaijan, became acquainted with the activities of the “ABAD Factory” Production Complex.
The guest was informed about the activities of ABAD, a public legal entity established by a Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, dated September 23, 2016. Information was provided on the work carried out to support the development of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises, promote the formation of family farms, encourage local production, and increase employment in the regions.
It was noted that the building housing the production complex was originally constructed in 1956 as a “House of Culture” and, after long years of use, had fallen into disrepair. In 2018, the building was fully renovated by the ABAD public legal entity with the support of PASHA Holding and transformed into a modern production complex equipped with contemporary facilities.
It was also emphasized that ABAD provides family farms with comprehensive support services, including production, packaging, branding, marketing, legal assistance, accounting, and sales, thereby expanding market access for national products.
After familiarizing herself with the production process and operational principles, Amy Carlon sampled the food products manufactured at the facility. She highlighted the significance of the ABAD model aimed at supporting family farms and developing local production, and wished the organization success in its future activities.
